Analyst Jobs

Let's face it - I am not really an accountant, though I qualified as a Management Accountant for the purpose of Skilled Migration. Not only is accounting an annoying task for me most of the time, I am spiritually allergic to accounting for interest (I break into a rash, die and go to hell). But when I have to build an accounting system for a particular purpose, I have a private geek party with tea and biscuits and get all excited. I'm really an analyst or a spreadsheet/ database architect at heart and above all I love to analyse performance metrics and make keen observations. Jobs are posted either by recruiters or directly by the company itself . According to the Hays Salary Guide, employers are 'cautiously optimistic' about the future and are hiring more staff. The largest area of skills shortage appears to be junior to mid management talent in both Operations and Accountancy and Finance. The next highest areas of skills shortage were for Junior to Mid Management talent for Engineering, Technical roles, Sales and Marketing and IT roles. IT and Telco are the most dynamic and upbeat sectors while financial services, hospitality and tourism as well as profressional services are second most. Consumer/ business confidence and current economic conditions are percieved as the main driving factors for business activity as opposed to market and macroeconomic factors.
