I finally submitted my online application for 175 visa today.

  • Please note, this does not mean your visa application has been approved. You will be advised by this Department when your application has been approved.
  • Please record your Transaction Reference Number, as you will need it if you want to check the status of your application through the online enquiry facility which is available by selecting check the progress of an application on the Applications & Forms page accessible from this Department's homepage.
  • Please note each secondary applicant included in this application, more than 16 years of age, can appoint their own migration agent or exempt agent or other authorised recipient.They can do so by either advising the department in writing or download and complete the 956 Appointment of migration agent or exempt agent or other authorised recipient form.
  • Once you have been granted a visa you can check details of your visa, including your visa conditions and information on work and study rights, through Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO). You do not need to obtain a visa label from the Department. This information viewed from VEVO can be used instead of obtaining a visa label.

  3. Retrieve and print your application form (recommended)
  4. Retrieve your payment receipt details (recommended)

Form 26EH - Medical Examination for an Australian visa

The top 4 and the last document are to be provided for all applicants, while the others are either pertain only to the primary applicant only or the relevant secondary applicant.

The two bolded documents in the list (Form 47A and Form 1221) need to processed within 28 days of the application (i.e. by June 01, 2011).

Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of time. Sometimes, time is spent planning and procrastinating as well, and then every hour is worth approximately an average of 40 times as much just before an examination. The 40 times calculation is obviously a result of my now-more-analytical mindset, after going through the physics of cost accounting examinations.
